About this property
Location Kelso, with the famous Silvery Tweed running through it, is one of the prettiest towns in the Central Borders region. There are many things to see and do in Kelso, such as the famous Kelso Races, Britain's friendliest course. In mid July there is Kelso Civic Week, steeped in history and tradition, while the end of July sees the famous Border Union Show attracting visitors and competitors from all over. Kelso Abbey is another famous landmark, and it stands right in the centre of the cobbled market town. The town of Kelso has the largest market square in Scotland, and further up the street is the embedded horseshoe, which, according to local legend, was cast by Bonnie Prince Charlie's horse when he passed through in 1745 on his way to Derby.
